An Afternoon with World Champion Sarah Hammer

Celebrate the USA's 1st World Track Cycling Gold Medal in a decade!

Temecula, CA - June 14, 2006.

Newly crowned World Champion Cyclist Sarah Hammer hosts the 1st annual Celebration of Excellence on Saturday, August 12th, 2006.

In April of 2006, Sarah Hammer became the U.S.A.'s 1st track cyclist to win a Gold Medal in a decade. To honor this momentous achievement, Sarah Hammer will be joined by Olympians, prominent business leaders and sporting visionaries in her effort to raise funds for women's track cycling in the United States. Celebration of Excellence will be held at the ADT Event Center Velodrome, part of the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The event will start with a reception at 12:00 P.M. and the ceremony will begin at 12:30 P.M. A World Record attempt and exhibition racing will ensure a festive and exciting atmosphere.

Gold, Silver and Bronze level sponsorship packages are available for the event. Gold level sponsorship packages include signed World Champion jerseys, a company appearance by Sarah Hammer and many other distinctive items. All sponsorship contributions will benefit the American Women's Track Cycling Fund. This innovative fund will be used to support Women's track cycling in the United States on both elite and developmental levels.
