Celebrate the USA's 1st World Track Cycling Gold Medal in a
decade!
Temecula, CA - June 14, 2006.
Newly crowned World Champion Cyclist Sarah Hammer hosts the 1st
annual Celebration of Excellence on Saturday, August 12th, 2006.
In April of 2006, Sarah Hammer became the U.S.A.'s 1st track
cyclist to win a Gold Medal in a decade. To honor this momentous
achievement, Sarah Hammer will be joined by Olympians, prominent
business leaders and sporting visionaries in her effort to raise
funds for women's track cycling in the United States. Celebration of
Excellence will be held at the ADT Event Center Velodrome, part of
the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The event will start
with a reception at 12:00 P.M. and the ceremony will begin at 12:30
P.M. A World Record attempt and exhibition racing will ensure a
festive and exciting atmosphere.
Gold, Silver and Bronze level sponsorship packages are available
for the event. Gold level sponsorship packages include signed World
Champion jerseys, a company appearance by Sarah Hammer and many
other distinctive items. All sponsorship contributions will benefit
the American Women's Track Cycling Fund. This innovative fund will
be used to support Women's track cycling in the United States on
both elite and developmental levels.
